A New Chapter for Mellotron Begins
There's plenty happening behind the scenes at Ameritz Music this year, and one of the most exciting developments has been the return of our sister label, Mellotron.
After a busy few years, Mellotron is back in full swing with a fresh wave of artist signings, welcoming both long-time collaborators and exciting new talent to the label family.
Launched in 2018, Mellotron was created as a home for instrumental music, with a focus on lo-fi, ambient, classical, piano, and jazz. Since then, it has grown into a rich and diverse catalogue featuring exceptional performances from dozens of talented musicians.
Whether our listeners were working, studying, reading, or simply taking time to unwind, Mellotron offered an ever-expanding collection of instrumental music, making it a destination for listeners seeking the perfect soundtrack for any part of their day.
Leading the label from the very beginning has been our label manager, Beth, who, with our team of promotion and graphic designers, has helped shape Mellotron into what it is today. The label has enjoyed some incredible milestones over the years, including surpassing 160 million collective streams in a single year across its roster of artists, a huge achievement that reflects both the quality of the music and the appetite for beautiful instrumental music.
Now, Mellotron enters its next chapter with a fantastic lineup of artists joining the family. New and upcoming releases include music from Franco Robert, skyswimming, Chris Snelling, Living Room, and long-time collaborator with Ameritz and Mellotron, Martin Jacoby, with even more artists and projects waiting in the wings.
We're equally proud of our back catalogue, which includes music from internationally acclaimed artists such as Madeleine Peyroux. Renowned for her unmistakable voice and timeless blend of jazz, blues and folk influences, Peyroux released her single No Meanness with Mellotron in 2019. The track has since amassed more than 2 million streams on Spotify alone, becoming one of Mellotron's standout releases.
